Machine Operator

Job Description

Machine operators work with heavy equipment and machinery from setup to operation

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery
  • Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process
  • Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected
  • Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is a minimum requirement
  • Combination of additional education and experience
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and mechanics

Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

High paced food production plant looking for talented technician to help maintain equipment and production facilities

  • Perform equipment setups and teardowns to assist production and sanitation to ensure optimal performance and food safety
  • Preventative maintenance including equipment maintenance / teardown, identification of parts showing wear, parts purchasing, and rebuilding of the equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and assist production with optimizing the equipment settings
  • Monitor the boilers, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, power, and water to ensure utilities are functioning properly
  • Assist skilled technical vendors as necessary
  • Perform predictive maintenance analysis to identify impending failures
  • Assist with new equipment installation and startup as necessary
  • Schedule may include weekends and overtime as needed

Requirements

  • Prior maintenance experience required
  • Be able to trouble shoot electrical, hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment
  • Electrical background in addition to mechanical skills; experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics is a plus
  • Self-motivated detail oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilities equipment
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service

Meat Packer

Job Description

Food processing workers are responsible for working at various stages of the food production line

  • Measure and load ingredients into industrial processing equipment
  • Program kitchen equipment to operate according to company and recipe standards
  • Monitor machinery during the cooking and mixing process to ensure product quality standards are being met
  • Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the next step of the process for packaging
  • Sanitation and equipment breakdown responsibilities

Requirements

Meat Trimmer

Job Description

The meat trimmer processes primal parts into cuts that are ready for retail use and plays an important role in transforming raw material into marketable food products

  • Work with a team of skilled meat cutters in a fast-paced environment to fabricate materials for specialty meat products including sausages, hot dogs and classic New York deli products
  • Uses a variety of knives, hand tools and other equipment to cut and trim meat and prepare for packing
  • You will be asked to follow our system of trimming and sorting meat for different purposes, and will be trained on this system
  • Maintains company standards for safety and sanitation
  • Must be able to lift a 50 lbs

Requirements

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing facility; meat experience preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and Food Safety
  • Food Quality department experience preferred

Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

Monitor and enforce proper quality and safety procedures and regulations at a high paced food production plant

  • Ensure product and process accuracy from ingredient selection through label application and shipping
  • Collect, review and maintain files for all documentation relating to production and quality control for each shift
  • Ensure that all employees record real-time data or any other appropriate information requested
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the investigation, root cause analysis and resolution of customer issues and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Provide supervision and support to operators
